Just a quick note that I have added a new banner to the site sidebar: Historic Investments. They have a GunBroker account instead of a standalone web site (although I think that is coming at some point) or brick-and-mortar store, but that doesn’t change the fact that they trade in some pretty cool collectible firearms. Mostly handguns, and they tend to stick to guns that are in eye-poppingly good condition (very much the opposite of my personal collecting habits, really).
Here are a couple examples of what they have for sale at the moment:
Italian military-issue Beretta M1923, in 9mm Glisenti
There’s a lot more (47 guns total as of my writing this). I have worked with the owner, and he has provided me access to some very cool guns anonymously. If you are interested in high-condition, truly investment grade historical arms, these folks are definitely worth keeping in mind.
I needed to leave a comment in order to subscribe to this string. My only comment… His prices! Good luck!
His prices, make me think he doesn’t understand the point of Gunbroker. People enjoy bidding on things.
“Oxidative changes”, I like that. Two long words to say rust.
