I picked up a copy of this book a couple years ago when Bin Shih first published it, but by the time I got around to doing a review it had sold out – so I didn’t bother. Well, a seconds printing run has been made, so it seems that now would be a good time to take a closer look at it. There are very few English-language resources on Chinese WWII small arms, and this is a good one…
As I mentioned in the video, it both the English and Chinese versions (in Traditional Chinese – the Simplified Chinese version is not available in the US) are available at ChineseFirearms.com – it is a privately printed work, so that is the only source for new copies.
You may want to mention that the Chinese version the author is selling is in Traditional Chinese. There’s a 3rd authorized version of this book printed for the Mainland Chinese market in Simplified Chinese. It’s the same language but readers of the Simplified Chinese may not be able to read all of the Traditional Chinese characters.
Thanks for pointing that out – I wasn’t aware of the difference.
That is nonsense. The traditional Chinese version sold out in 2006. I challenge you to find another copy.
I ordered the English version from the link over a week ago 10/10/19 and today is 10/20/19 and the money was taken but I haven’t gotten any feedback. I would love the book but if it’s out I would like my money back. Please help I don’t know where else to turn!!!
I just received my copy in the mail today, which was also signed by Bin Shih which was very cool. Thank you!
